If you are a Fordham Law faculty member and need assistance setting up an online journal alert using these or any other systems, please contact the Reference Desk (refdesk@law.fordham.edu or 212-636-6908), or your Faculty Liaison.
EBSCO Journal Alerts allow you to set up automatic email notification when a new issue of a specific journal becomes available in an EBSCOhost database (like Academic Search Complete, Business Source Complete, or SocINDEX with Full Text).
In order to create Journal Alerts, you must be signed into your My EBSCOhost personal folder account. To sign in or create a new account, visit an EBSCO database like Academic Search Complete, and click the Sign In link in the top toolbar.
If you need an account, click "Create One Now" at the bottom of the sign in page, and use your @fordham.edu email (not your @law.fordham.edu email). Once you have username and password, login using those credentials.
To set up the Alert, go to the individual publication's page on any EBSCOhost database (make sure it's a publication for which Fordham has EBSCO access).
On the Publication Record, click on the "Share" icon in the upper-right-hand corner. In the resulting drop-down menu, click "Email Alert" to open the Journal Alert setup window.
Set your Alert parameters, add your email address, and click Save Alert. You will now be alerted when a new issue becomes available.
At any time, click on the Help link to view the complete online Help system.
